A picture of this book is available up Borba de Moraes I p. 284: 'The author visited Rio, Santos, and Sao Paulo. His impressions are very picturesque and accurate.' Besides the narrative of his travels to Brazil, the author describes his stay in Argentina, Buenos Aires, travels along the Parana, gauchos, etc. The author was an early tourist to the region, where most travel was either scientific or business. A scarce account not listed in most references on the region.
