This book uses extracts from her autobigraphical account of her travels ("Recollections of a Happy Life. Being the Autobiography of Marianne North". Edited by Her Sister Mrs. John Addington Symonds. Two volumes. 1894) and is beautifully illustrated with her paintings, many reproduced for the first time. The book was published in collaboration with The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
