Toronto. “From the reliable information which has been submitted in the foregoing pages it is obvious that gold mining in Nova Scotia has become a well established and profitable branch of industry and is now a safe field for the investment of capital. In Nova Scotia seven years of successful mining…afford the capitalist the best guarantee of what he may expect in the future…A high average yield being established beyond all doubt and there being an unlimited quantity of material to operate upon the production will be in direct proportion to the amount of labour employed…The gross yield is now about $600000 a year but there is nothing to prevent it becoming $6000000 per annum in ten years…â€. pp. 19-20 Not in Casey. 8vo. pp. 20. folding partly coloured lithographed map. library quarter cloth original printed wrs. bound in tears to wrs. library bookplate & 2 rubberstamps Kingston: Creighton, Printer, 1868 hardcover
