A heroine you'll never forget. A woman who battles fiercely for survival and her own independence, but surrenders completely to the man she loves. This is Eugenia Price's inspiring story of a unique American Heroine - a woman whose strength and resourcefulness overcame every obstacle to survival in an untamed and turbulent land as it struggled for independence. Maria is a true pioneer, hardworking, valiant, self-reliant. But she is also a vibrant, flesh-and-blood woman, tempestuous in passion, steadfast in love. Book

This is an almost very good softcover copy. It was previously owned by the curator of the Historical Society of Palm Beach, and is marked as such on the front cover. One of the lenders to the exhibition, Mrs. Woolworth Donohue, also signed the catalog on one of the pages in the List of Buildings and Projects. It later was owned by the prominent American architect Der Scutt and has his distinctive small handstamp on the title-page. The text has a few pencil underlinings (which could be erased), otherwise clean. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Norton Gallery of Art from March 5 to April 17, 1977. Illustrated mostly in black & white with vintage photographs, floor plans, elevations, etc. Also 4 color plates. List of Mizner's buildings and projects. 9" high X 12" wide, 64 pages. An interesting annotated copy. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
