Bifolium. 11" x 9-1/2" <br/><br/>An uncommon early menu from Anthony's Fish Grotto with b/w photographic vignettes of Catherine "Mama" Ghio her two sons Anthony and Tod and her son-in-law Roy Weber to the front. Catherine opened the restaurant in 1946 when she was in her fifties and a widowed mother of three. It soon became a landmark of the city's cuisine opening several other locations and moving to its most well-known location on waterfront in the 1960s. After over 70 years of business the San Diego restaurant closed in 2017 when its lease with the city expired; its La Mesa location is still operating. [Anthony's Fish Grotto] unknown books

They hit there peak in the 1960s employing more people than any other chain in the county. Guests enjoyed there favorite BBQ and beverages while enjoying scenes of the Old West in murals by Ray Strong. Inserts include a special on grilled halibut or salmon for $1.45 and the "Luncheons" featuring a new "Steak Sandwich." unknown books

Text discusses the activities of the Development Board which was housed in the Ferry Building in San Francisco. This version seems to be the original version copyright in 1910. In 1914 the map was entirely revised and given a new title. There are old folds and a 6½ inch area of roughness along the lower left edge with a small marginal chip not affecting the image.
