He did not enjoy the hot season in the plains and spent every available leave hunting in the hills and mountains of the Himalaya. He discusses nature geography and the politics of the region including that of Tibet. Richard Henry Wallace Dunlop returned to Scotland where he married his second wife and had 5 children. His oldest Marion Wallace Dunlop became a leading suffragette and was the first to use a hunger strike to further women's suffrage.
