Original stapled paper wraps having from 6 to 16 pages with b/w photos and small sketch map. All in excellent condition. Each pamphlet lures you to one of Japan's popular tourist destinations: Kyoto Nara Miyanoshita and Hakone Shimoda Lake Towada & Environs Okayama & Its Vicinity and Hokkaido for Skiing. Japanese tourism was alive and well in the 1930's and by 1936 spending by foreign visitors represented Japan's fourth largest source of foreign exchange revenue after cotton raw silk and silk products.
