Catalogue for the Palestine Exhibition and Fair in Autumn 1925; the exhibitions held in Tel Aviv would later be famously named the Levant Fair. Catalogue contains list of Exhibitors and Exhibits (organized according to product or trade) ; Contains many advertisements from the period. Exhibitions (now known as fairs) were quite successful and were ordered for tens of thousands and then hundreds of thousands of Jews, Arabs, English, and many tourists. The fair in 1932 was visited by nearly 300, 000 people. While the existence of this fair became known for the first time in Israel, their broadcasting station broadcast the events in Hebrew. This was four years before they began regular radio broadcasts in Israel by Voice Jerusalem. Fair visitors have included some very distinguished people, including British High Commissioners for Palestine Herbert Samuel (1920-1925) , Herbert Plumer (1925-1928) , John Chancellor (1928-1931) and Arthur Wauchope (1932-1937) , as well as Arab mayors of Jaffa and Jerusalem (Wikipedia, 2015) . The first part approved by the High Commissioner Herbert Samuel is the Memorandum of Association. Its articles specify the objects for which the company is established as "the purchase of any lands forests . and other immovable property in Palestine Transjordania Syria and the Peninsula of Sinai for the purpose of constructing maintaining and managing any roads ways railways bridges viaducts harbours telegraphs electrical works factories etc. In doing so the company will take over all the assets and liabilities of 'The Ottoman Company for Commerce and Agriculture and Industries Limited' incorporated under Turkish Law the 26th April 1910". On the curious case of "Agendath sic. Netaim" which the half-Jewish Leopold Bloom spends a whole day considering one should read with pleasure in James Joyce's "Ulysses".
