First published in the US in the previous year with the title 'Twenty Million Tons under the Sea'. The author was head of the US task force that captured U-505 off the coast of Africa, the only U-boat to be boarded and captured at sea. Bright, crisp copy of the first and by far the scarcest of all the contemporary accounts of Walker's exploits (his groups sank 23 U-boats in total). Well illustrated with photographs (some less usual). Wemyss commanded WILD GOOSE; this account forms the basis of his later 'Relentless Pursuit' (1955). SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
