A visually rich assemblage documenting Mexican urban rural and border life from the late Porfiriato through the early post-revolutionary era blending formal travel site views with candid street and travel photography. The large booklet contains 11 double-sided perforated postcards which was likely sold as a fold-out travel souvenir featuring printed captions and hand-coloring. These depict notable sites across Ciudad Juárez Tijuana and other key locations including the Juárez Bull Ring the Monumento a la Independencia in Mexico City interior and exterior views of Mission Guadalupe in Juárez street markets adobe homes rail stations and border architecture. Several El Paso Texas scenes are also included highlighting the transnational urban corridor.<br /> <br /> The 16 loose real photo postcards and snapshots expand the geographical and thematic range showing rural adobe dwellings market women carrying pottery and baskets men in sombreros carrying baskets waterfront and harbor scenes indigenous vendors and panoramic urban streetscapes. Identified locations include Taxco Guaymas and Mexico City alongside images from northern border towns with clear signs of U.S.-Mexico economic and cultural exchange. One image shows a young Mexican man and boy holding up fishing game on craggy ocean cliffs another shows farm laborers tilling the field led by ox and another shows a group of young men with oversized pestle and mortars likely grinding corn. Minor wear to some images;but overall very good condition. A cohesive visual record ideal for researchers of Mexican social history borderland studies urban development and early 20th-century travel culture illustrating both the monumental landmarks and everyday life encountered by travelers during this transformative period. unknown
