Several areas of ink staining to the covers with minor soiling and fading. Leather worn along the spine with the other extremities rather bumped scuffed and frayed. Scott while on its voyage from Seattle on February 5 1946 transporting occupation troops to Jinsen now Incheon South Korea and Shanghai. The piece contains thanks from the troops to the crew a message from the captain and a day to day account of the trip including personal musings and account of drills. GOOD condition. One side features a full color illustration of two women and two men each with a box of Search Light matches in their hand that when the paper is unfolded is lifted into the air. The rest of the piece is advertising copy touting the matches' ease of lighting that they don't get eaten by rats they're nonpoisonous etc. VERY GOOD condition. General toning. A collection of three maps depicting Boston Massachusetts in 1630 1635 and 1640. These were originally found in the Town Records Book of Possessions and other sources. The primarily depict property and owners as well as roads ways. Text with names for references included with each map. POOR condition. EX-LIBRARY. Spine reinforced with black tape. Exterior labels interior pastedown and stamping present. Paper very brittle. Heavy chipping tearing and loss along the fore edge and lower edge. Monthly almanac with the usual information on the moon etc. While calculated for the town of Portsmouth New Hampshire the almanac states it could be used by any New England state. Also present is a list of the courts/court dates in New Hampshire as well as detailed descriptions of a variety of counterfeit bills knocking off those produced by a plethora of banks from New York Massachusetts Maine and elsewhere. A list of uncurrent bills is also provided. A new method of producing clean cider is described as well. POOR condition. All leaves essentially DETACHED from each other with one or two clinging on to each other. Heavy chipping curling creasing and tearing to the corners and fore edge. Moderate scattered foxing spotting staining and soiling heavy to the rear cover. Faint owner's signature present. A very worn but intact copy of this obscure almanac. A somewhat fictionalized somewhat historically accurate account of life at the border of what was the United States prior to 1850 recalling anecdotes of Tecumseh Simon Kenton Moses Hewitt Daniel Boone the massacre a Big Bottom the massacre of the Moravian Indians etc. GOOD condition. Minor fading and toning to the covers mostly the spine. Cloth a bit frayed and scuffed along the extremities and hinges. Minor scuffing. Interior hinges cracked but holding. Name Withheld for privacy. 6 items as follows: two reproductions of a State Prison Escape Bulletin relating to the former owner's apparent escape from the Sierra Conservation Center Correctional Facility where they were held for robbery; small mug shots photo with prisoner id number; a certificate from the City of Los Angeles issued to the person for their participation in holding the Festival in Black a festival that celebrated Black community and culture in Los Angeles; A drawing of two young Black children by the owner signed and dated 19 99; a drawing portrait of Malcolm X who is imagining a cross with KKK on it as well as a tree with a noose also signed and dated as previous entry. Other than the photo the papers are roughly 8 ½ by 11 inches or slightly bigger. Very little information could be found on the previous owner although based on provenance they were the child of a Black activist. All in VERY GOOD or so condition with minor scattered wrinkling soiling and edgewear. No publisher unknown

Sapolio was known for its very successful ads and jingles some penned by Bret Harte some by James Kenneth Fraser and others. This booklet features a variety of townsfolk with accompanying rhymes all promoting Sapolio. GOOD condition. General wrinkling minor toning and soiling to the covers. Light curling at the corners. Poster for a Friday November 13 1970 rally protesting the Vietnam War that was held at the Syracuse Induction Center. A comply-in followed the rally at the Selective Service Board. With a large peace symbol slightly resembling a skull and outlined in a red omega symbol used by resisters to the Vietnam War. GOOD condition. Minor toning. Some wrinkling and faint creasing to the paper. Minor soiling. Small spot near the lower left corner. One or two tiny tears to the extremities. No publisher unknown

1914022505No Place: No publisher 1914. Wraps. Poor. Disbound leaves roughly 8 by 7 inches with a cardstock front cover bearing a label with the student's name and year Marion Conaway 1914. 14 leaves with 12 of the 14 containing a piece of fabric that displays an example of various stitches mostly along hems or seams. The fabric is mounted by metal fasteners. Laid in is a certificate issued in 1918 from the Victory Girls and the United War Work Campaign certifying that Ms. Conaway paid a dollar toward the United War Work Campaign and was deemed an official Victory Girl. This campaign was created as a way for people in the US to support troops during World War I. Presumably the booklet was done for school demonstrating the variety of sewing and stitching techniques that was being taught. POOR condition. Booklet falling apart with all leaves detached and cover detached. Lacking a rear cover. The paper mountings are toned and brittle with some chipping and loss along the edges. The fabrics are clean although some are folded due to mishandling. No publisher unknown

Pamphlet side sewn lacking any wrappers or binding originally issued. 69 pp. Reprinted from the West Coast Reporter. A critical look at the Civil Code laws of California asserting that the civil code as written is full of errors uncertainties and inconsistencies with almost all sections needing judicial interpretation before their meanings can be understood. Pomeroy felt that the administration of the law was under threat of deterioration because of this. The New York Bar Association printed this critique because the civil code of California was a copy of a draft reported to the New York legislature in 1865. John Norton Pomeroy was an American lawyer and law professor and wrote many important text books and works on American law. Pomeroy helped develop the newly established Hastings College in California's law curriculum and served as their sole law professor. This helped him gain expertise in California law. GOOD condition. The history of the 6th Massachusetts in the Spanish-American War is unique in that its campaign was almost a bloodless one the absence of battles and the few months it was in the field rendering its experiences different in kind and degree from those regiments which were in the Civil War almost as many years and even for its sister regiments in Cuba in '98. And while the following account is written with a full appreciation of the seemingly insuramountable difficulties overcome by the War Department in an incredibly short space of time in addition to the necessary hardships of army life and it not intended in any sense as a "lament" there is that to record of interest not only to the regiment itself but to its friends." Pamphlet. 27 pp. An anti-France work blaming French culture and politics for the problems of the United States including the War of 1812. Truair saw debauchery everywhere in French thinking especially after the French Revolution and asserted Jefferson Madison and others were influenced by this. He accuses them of only being religious when it suits them and asserts they don't believe in religion. Truair also cites various Illuminati societies in the US as a source of ills. Overall a strongly worded piece that takes Jefferson and other heads of state to task for the perceived downfall of the US. POOR condition. The whole piece is very tattered torn and worn along the extremities with some loss to the front blank wrapper the title page and first page of text. This includes some loss of text. Overall very heavy tearing tattering creasing and wear. Previous owner's signature A. Bingham abounds in most blank areas indicating a they were enamored with the look of their name in script.
