Copia anastatica dell'opera originale stampata in 50 esemplari numerati. "M'accingo a dimostrare per la lunga pratica, ch'ebbi della navigazione, molto più per averla esercitata in quasi tutto il mare Mediterraneo, ed in particolare in quei mari che navigò l'Apostolo San Paolo, come il detto Apostolo naufragò nell'isola di Malta, e non in quella di Meleda, come lo pretesero alcuni Letterati moderni". Con queste parole l'Autore dichiara nella sua lettera dedicata "al leggitore" di voler chiarire, dimostrando con nozioni pratiche e storiche, la reale vicenda del naufragio dell'Apostolo. L'opera risponde anche alla falsa testimonianza che diede il Padre Giorgio Ignazio Benedettino nel suo libro edito a Venezia nel 1730 "Divus Paulus Apostolus in mari, quod nunc dicitur Venetus Sinus naufragus". Per maggiore chiarezza l'Autore prima della sua analisi inserisce il Capitolo 27 e 28 degli Atti degli Apostoli concernenti la navigazione ed il naufragio di S. Paolo; ripercorre inoltre l'intero tragitto analizzando le due componenti principali quali le varie correnti dei venti unite alle distanze fra le diverse coste delle terre costeggiate dall'Apostolo. Si analizzano anche le diverse profondità dei mari con esempi pratici di due naufragi al tempo dell'Autore nel medesimo luogo dove la nave dell'Apostolo naufragò; "il primo verso l'anno 1730 d'un Vascello francese proveniente con un ricco carricamento dalla Siria per portarlo in Marsiglia", "il secondo naufragio seguì nel 1761 d'una Pollacca Ragusea proveniente da Smirne". In ultima analisi si considera la rotta eseguita dalla nave di S. Paolo probabilmente retta anziché obliqua. Esemplare intonso. Brossura cartacea a stampa, pp. XXXI, 1, in 8°
