"One hundred and fifty years after Byron's death at Missolonghi Elizabeth Longford and Jorge Lewinski travelled with the Byron Society in the steps of the poet's Greek journeys. The fruit of their trip is this beautiful book whoch evokes in words and pictures Byron's dramatic experiences in Greece. Despite the inroads of industrialization, much of the countryside is as the poet first saw it, and readers will recapture in these pages his delight and inspiration. br.
