These 'Baedeker' handbooks from the company of German publisher Karl Baedeker set the standard for authoritative guidebooks for tourists. They contain among other things maps and information regarding routes travel facilities noteworthy sights attractions and museums written by specialists. This particular guide comprises forty routes and excursions across Rome Naples Palermo the Lipari Islands Sardinia and Athens with introductory information concerning travelling expenses climate recent events and customs. In the original cloth binding. Externally rear hinge failed and front hinge is held by a single cord only. Marks to the boards. With a large split to the worn back strip. Internally firmly bound.
