Fine example of Adam Freidrich Zurner's scarce double hemisphere map of the World, embellished with 26 decorative scenes and scientific projections of the Celestial skies and contemporary astronomical theories and teachings.Zürner's work is relatively unknown, appearing usually in other publishers' atlases, such as Schenk's Atlas Contractus.An attractive and interesting map full of detail including most of the coast of Australia, the western coast of New Zealand, and the routes and discoveries of explorers Magellan, Dampier ("Nova Britannia" in 1700), Tasman, Gaetani and Chaumont. Surrounding the map is an elaborate border showing winds and climates, and along the bottom edge a panorama illustrating tempests, earthquakes, tides, vortices, and a textual commentary on all the natural phenomena illustrated.California is shown as an island, but very tentatively so, with the coloring suggesting that it may be a peninsula, suggesting early knowledge of Fra. Pianta a proiezione verticale, orografica, orientata con il nord in alto.Si tratta, di una derivazione ridotta ed aggiornata della pianta di Giovan Battista Nolli del 1748, pubblicata per la prima volta nel 1838 - priva dell'apparato decorativo in basso, derivante interamente dal Nolli, che appare solamente in questa ristampa del 1841, emendata sulla vecchia lastra. Sono aggiunti orografia e rappresentazione delle aree verdi. "In basso, sotto la pianta, sono state inoltre aggiunte a sinistra una vista del Colosseo e la colonna Traiana con le tre colonne del Foror Romano in primo piano e a destra il Campidoglio. I rioni sono contraddistinti in pianta da numeri romani. In basso a destra troviamo le firme dei vari incisori. Ai due lati legende divise per argomenti. Non è stato possibile verificarlo, ma è probabile che questa pianta venisse venduta avulsa dall'opera" (cfr. Marigliani p. 285).Acquaforte, stampata su carta coeva, tagliata ed applicata su tela e montata ad astuccio, piccole ossidazioni, per il resto in buono stato di conservazione. Vertical projection map, orographic, oriented with the north at the top.It is a reduced and updated derivation of Giovan Battista Nolli's map of 1748, published for the first time in 1838 - without the decorative apparatus at the bottom, deriving entirely from Nolli, which appears only in this reprint of 1841, amended on the old plate. Orography and representation of the green areas are added. At the bottom, under the map, a view of the Colosseum and the Trajan's column with the three columns of the Foror Romano in the foreground and the Capitol on the right have been added. The districts (rioni) are marked in the map by Roman numbers. At the bottom right we find the signatures of the various engravers. On the two sides legends divided by topics. Etching, printed on contemporary paper, cut and applied on canvas and mounted in a case, light foxing, for the rest in good condition. C. Includes comprehensive street index keyed to map. EXTREMELY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.

Andriveau-Goujon, Paris, 1867 Rare et bon exemplaire de cette carte de Paris en grand format, nous présentant la capitale à la fin du Second Empire, à la veille du Siège de Paris et de la Commune (la chemise est abîmée, l'étui est en bon état). D'une échelle et d'un format supérieur aux autres productions d'Andriveau-Goujon, elle englobe l'intégralité de la boucle de la Seine avec Boulogne et son bois, jusqu'à Saint-Cloud et Suresnes. Voici sous agraphe un plan lithographié en couleurs qu'il faut monter soi même . Accompagné de diverses petites plans de 20 cm x 27 cm en couleurs et lithographiés de : Marseille touristique , du plan général et d'assemblage de Marseille avec tous les morceaux numérotés , puis un joli plan de la Provence avec les dessins des monuments et les grandes figures Mistral et Daudet , les paquebots dans le port , etc . Un plan des panneaux de signalisation . Le dos de couverture renforcé d'un adhésif transparent non coulant , quelques fragilités du cartonnage , mais tous les plans à l'intérieur sont en bon état . Petite trouvaille rare à monter sur toile ou carton avec de la colle blanche à bois .- x p. , 250 gr.

Von der Feuerwehr der Stadt Wien gedruckter Straßenplan, der die Zufahrt zum Musiktheater "Orpheum" in der Wasagasse sowie die Lage der Hydranten und die Stellplätze für Mannschafts-, Schlauch-, Lösch-, Rüstwagen und Dampfspritze veranschaulicht. Zeigt auch Grundrisse aller Stockwerke des Hauses. Der dargestellte Bereich des 9. Bezirks reicht von der Beethovengasse bis zur Grünentorgasse. - Das 1864/65 von Otto Wagner erbaute Harmonietheater wurde 1866 eröffnet; in diesem Jahr hatte Ludwig Anzengruber unter dem Namen "Gruber" seinen erster Auftritt. Schon 1868 zum "Orpheum" umgestaltet, erlebte das Haus 1872 als "Danzers Orpheum" seine große Blüte. 1900 renoviert und in ein intimes Theater umgestaltet, wurde es 1908 als Sprechbühne mit dem Namen "Neue Wiener Bühne" eröffnet und 1928 geschlossen.
