Salvian was a Christian living in Gaul during the Fall of Rome and his most important work was dedicated to describing the events that lead to the fall. </p><p>This collection of the works of Salvian was published in Venice and includes the works of Vincent of Lerins another 5th-century Christian monk who wrote on Roman martyrs and the heretical views of the papacy and early Catholic Church.
