The covers are stained darkened and rubbed the front cover is detached and the partially perished spine is quite frayed. 104 pages illustrated with pictorial initials and 14 superb colored lithographs by Louis Lassalle after works by major artists. A paper remnant adheres to the creased front endpaper. There is some occasional soiling and some minor foxing. There is a very short tear to the margins of a two text leaves. A complete copy with spectacular bright colored lithographs. <p>RARE. The Bibliotheque National de France dates the book as 1853.<p>Louis Simon Cabaillot Lassalle 1810-1870 is known for his genre paintings. Illustrated with 12 color photographs laid down 10 measuring 6½" x 5" and two slightly cropped at the sides. Comb-bound at the topedge. Light wear else fine. <br /> <br /> A handmade souvenir photo album of Henry Moore sculptures from the Expo Henry Moore at Zurich's Zurcher Forum June-August 1976. The album was gifted to famed author and diarist Anaïs Nin a few months before her death. The creator must have been a friend of Nin's. The first leaf is a note that reads: "Dear Anaïs! I took some photographes sic for you! It is a wonder the exposition! I hope you are not too discontented about your health! So much love name illegible." The next leaf is a manuscript title page and twelve color photographs of Moore's sculptures follow. They are nicely composed but do appear to be amateur photographs possibly made specifically for Nin. The cover leaf is dated August 20 1976. Nin would pass away less than five months later on January 14 1977. <br /> <br /> A touching keepsake for an ailing friend. Self-published unknown

A remarkably designed and excellently executed binding capturing the spirit of Nin's prose and quite directly the character of Boyce's drawings.
