She belonged to a most talented family of artists and engravers. Other family members who produced fashion plates and fine art included her mother Alexandre-Marie Colin 1798-1873 and her daughter Isabelle Toudouze 1872-1925. In 1845 Adele-Anais married the painter and architect Gabriel-Auguste Toudouze. She is also listed as Maddemoiselle Anais Colin Adele-Anais Colin & Adele-Anais Colin-Toudouze.Héloïse Colin was the daughter of painter Alexandre-Marie Colin and Marie Joseph Juhel. She married Auguste Leloir with whom she had two sons: the illustrator Maurice Leloir and the painter Alexandre-Louis Leloir.She exhibited her first drawings in the 1835 edition of the Salon. She basically painted watercolors and became known for her portraits of small dimensions.
