8vo., First Edition, with a portrait frontispiece (original tissue guard present), 4 plates (3 portraits) and 3 plates of sketch maps; regimental blue cloth, upper board blocked in gilt and white and lettered in black, gilt back, black endpapers, a very good, bright, fresh, clean copy. The first volume (1886) concerns the period 1794 to 1886. Two thirds of this volume covers the service in the Boer War of 1st, 2nd and 63rd companies of Imperial Yeomanry. All were sponsored by the Royal Wilts, through the 63rd was raised in South Africa. Scarce in this condition. Sutcliffe, p.240; White p, 174.
