Very slight cover rubbing & fading to the paper cover only. Very slight lower front edge bump edge. No tears to the cover or any pages. Extremely scarce copy and is the only copy of anything of hers signed that I could find! Limited edition of 287/300 that were issued unsigned. She signed this copy after publication. "Marie Under 27 March O.S. 15 March 1883 – 25 September 1980 was one of the greatest Estonian poets. She was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 12 separate years." She was a very famous Estonian poet 1883-1980 and was known in society as the "Siuru Princess." She was later nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature on several occasions. First Edition/first printing copy. The front top flap has a small Christmas sticker apparently from the prior owner and is dated "January 1963.". No remainder marks. NOT price-clipped. No foxing on the edges. The Interior is bright and white. The boards are tight. Also available for purchase were teachers’ desks book cases globes of assorted sizes and pull-down maps & charts. Founded originally in 1860 to service National Normal University students and teachers in Lebanon OH the company grew through the Civil War as a mail-order industry housed dozens of women working as seamstresses to provide custom-sized costumes for children and events across the country and picked off competitors. George March d. 1917 operated the company until his death and afterwards run by his wife Emma and two sons-in-law until closing in 1941. No copies in Worldcat.
