Interessante opera, una serie di saggi storici su Parigi scritti da Poullain de Saint Foix (1699-1776) luogotenente di cavalleria e uomo di lettere francese. Siamo purtroppo in possesso solo del tomo secondo e terzo (ed ultimo) del 1759 e del tomo quinto del 1765 (ultimo di testo con supplemento all'opera). Lo scritto è un'eccellente opera sulla storia di Parigi ma soprattutto sui parigini con descrizione dei loro costumi, aneddoti storici e leggende popolari. Belle legature in piena pelle coeva con titolo in oro su tassello al dorso. In buone condizioni Copertina in piena pelle con decorazioni in oro al dorso e titolo su tassello in buone condizioni generali con usure e parti mancanti ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture. Occhietto del tomo quinto e prima pagina di sguardia del tomo terzo con strappo. Interesting work, a series of historical essays about Paris written by Poullain de Saint Foix (1699-1776) lieutenant of chevalry and french man of letter. Unfortunately we only have the second and third (and last work) of 1759 and of the fifth tome of 1765 (last one of text with supplement to the work). The work is an excellent work about the history of Paris but above all about Paris people with description of their costumes, historical anecdotes and popular legends. Beautiful full leather coeval cover with golden title and decorations in the spine. In good conditions. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxings. First title page of fifth tome and first endpage of third tome with tear.
