179226117Boston: Isaiah Thomas and Ebenezer Andrews. Poor with no dust jacket. 1792. 4th Edition. Hardcover. The original boards have been carefully wrapped in leather which is worn and scuffed. The title page and the next 4 pages are missing the lower right corner. Some pages are almost loose with wear especially at the margins. I did not find any pages missing but no guarantees there. The book is well used and most certainly as-is. ; Oblong 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 152 pages . Isaiah Thomas and Ebenezer Andrews hardcover
1800589588London: John Blockley / Mr. Moxon 1800. Softcover. Good. Unknown edition. Folio. 6pp. Wrappers. The front wrapper and first leaf are separated from the spine but present pages five/six are separating from the spine notched and worn along the spine from once being bound within an album foxing and offsetting throughout and possibly missing the rear wrapper an otherwise complete but good only copy. For voice and piano. Front cover states "No. 1 Songs from The Princess." We suspect that the bottom of the pages have been trimmed to fit within an album though not affecting any of the music it may have cut off the publisher's information. The bottom of the last page reads "Published by John Blockley. 23 Gloucester St. Regent's Plc." the bottom of the first page reads "Published by the kind permission of Mr. Moxon" and across 15 holdings in OCLC there are six different publisher's listed. Regardless it remains a complete score with a wonderful cover illustration. John Blockley / Mr. Moxon unknown
1800595065London: John Blockley 1800. Softcover. Very Good. Unknown edition. Folio. Two nested bifolia with a single sheet insert making ten pages. Notched and worn with some loss along the fold from once being bound within an album light edgewear a stain to the unprinted back cover not affecting the verso and toning to the fore edge of the insert a very good copy. For voice and piano. Plate imprint "The Memory of the Past. John Blockley." The illustration on the front cover is colored with a striking gradient effect we have never seen before on a piece of sheet music. OCLC locates only two holdings of this song and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade. John Blockley unknown
