The lyrics to this song are taken from Henry Van Dyke's poem "America For Me" which is printed in its entirety on the final page. The back cover features a short sample of "Out Where the West Begins" by Arthur Chapman and Estelle Philleo. The author of the lyrics Henry Van Dyke was born in Germantown Pennsylvania and grew up to be a professor of English at Princeton University a lecturer at the University of Paris and the Minister to the Netherlands and Luxembourg appointed in 1913 by President Woodrow Wilson.
