White covers are soiled with a tiny tear at head of spine and a number ink in ink at bottom. White card folio with bw image and lettering on cover; French flaps. Contents include 7 card pages folded in half vertically with text and a total of: 5 bw photographs and 5 original multi-colored lithographs. This publication of the work of Swiss artist Gottfried Honegger contains both original text In German and original lithographs. The text consists of 24 short paragraphs beginning."The art created by people shows their philosophical or ideological position; art is a contribution to the public discussion. The art is a collection of the difficulties and joys of all people; art is active history." The illustrations include 4 bw scientific photographic images 1 bw relief photo and 5 multi-colored original lithographs none signed. The colors on the lithographs are vibrant and rich. The lithos were pressed by Marcel Wild Zurich and only 30 copies were produced according to the text. The typography by Dolf Hurlimann also in Zurich and 100 copies of the text were produced. Auf eine erste Kurzreportage über das Schaffen Honeggers folgten weitere Gespräche und Interviews. Auch wenn Honegger von sich selbst sagte er lebe nicht in der Erinnerung oft nicht einmal in der Gegenwart ihn interessiere vor allem die Zukunft präg te seine eigene Geschichte sein Denken und seine Arbeit stark. Aus den in den Jahren 1993–1997 aufgezeichneten rund zwanzig Stunden an Interviews ist eine Auto Biografie in Gesprächsform entstanden die mehr zeigt als den bekann ten und auch streitbaren Polemiker Honegger. Sie zeigen einen Menschen der mit all seinen Widersprüchen und all seinen Zweifeln nicht nur daran glaubte dass Schönheit den Menschen besser mache sondern der sich auch bis ins hohe Alter mit vollem Engagement für diese Überzeugung einsetzte. Als Kind lebte er zeitweise im bünderischen Sent. Ab 1938 arbeitete er als Werbegrafiker. Als Eduard Zimmermann 1944 einen Hirnschlag erlitt und seine künstlerische Bildhauerarbeit beenden musste übernahm Honegger sein Atelier in Zollikon. Während eines dreijährigen Aufenthalts in New York City entschloss er sich im Jahr 1958 zur Tätigkeit als freier Künstler. Von 1960 an lebte und arbeitete er in Paris Cannes und Zürich wo er im Januar 2016 im Alter von 98 Jahren auch starb.
