With this volume, which will become the new reference work, it completes the project of a new complete edition of the Assayer. The assayer's, with the dialogue concerning the two Chief world systems, the most famous work of Galileo (1564-1642 Pisa Arcetri). It began as a response to the Libra astronomica ac philosophica of Lothario Sarsi (pseudonym of the Jesuit Orazio Grassi) and was dedicated to urban VIII, just assumed the papal throne. With Galileo the assayer reappears in the first person on the cultural scene, after warning of 1616 which forbade to profess or disseminate the Copernican theory. Indice: Premessa e ringraziamenti.
