196618769London: W H Allen 1966. A first edition first printing of 'The Warriors' by Sol Yurick published by W H Allen in 1966. A very good or better book with some spotting to the endpaper. No inscriptions and clean internally. In a very good unclipped dust wrapper with a small chip to the top of the front panel and one to the spine tip and a repair to a closed tear. Some light edgewear and a little soiling. Sol Yurick's 'The Warriors' is like a wacky urban safari through a neon-lit '70s New York City. Picture this: a gang named 'The Warriors' in stylish vests embarks on a wild adventure after being framed for a murder they didn't commit. As they journey through the city's diverse neighbourhoods they encounter a zany cast of rival gangs each with their own eccentric theme from baseball enthusiasts to roller-skating hooligans. It's a comical quest for survival where the Warriors must navigate subways avoid cops and engage in hilariously choreographed fights. This cult classic is like a groovy blend of action humour and '70s fashion that's as unforgettable as it is offbeat. W H Allen unknown
