First edition thus of this installment of Walter Hantzschel-Clairmont’s inventive and technically accurate moveable model atlases. This one features 8 pop-up models with elaborate overlays including a 1905 Fiat Five-Passenger 60 Horsepower touring car the Steam Tender Locomotive which operated on the Prussian State Railways and was built by the Berlin Machine Works; as well as the Wright Brothers Military Flyer first demonstrated in testing in 1908 and even though Orville was severely injured in 1908 flying the aircraft it proved to be very successful and had higher speed than the previous models and by 1910 was fitted with wheeled landing gear as featured in this moveable model. In addition this features models of a combination planer and band saw for sawmills; water turbine a massive Heinrich Lanz stationary Locomobile steam engine Babcock & Wilcox Steam Boiler and finally a large stationary Diesel Motor produced by the Nuremberg Machine works.
