Unter den behandelten Themen sind die chemischen Eigenschaften und Bearbeitungsmöglichkeiten verschiedener Metalle und Mineralien, die Verwertung tierischer Produkte (Salze, Horn, Wolle, Gerberei, Seide, Honig, Milch, Leim) sowie die Verwertung pflanzlicher Bestandteile (Baumwolle, Färben, Druckverfahren, Papier, Landwirtschaft, Wein, Destillation, Seife, Gummi usw.). Die Tafeln zeigen chemische Apparaturen, die Bauelemente eines Bienenstocks etc. Der Braunschweiger Italienischlehrer P. Gaetano (geb. 1747) war auch als Farbenhändler tätig. 1797 publizierte er "Abrégé de Chimie, ou Introduction, appartenente aux arts & metiers", die Grundlage für das vorliegende Werk. - Unbeschnitten und unaufgeschnitten.
