H9505Large original photo album from 1951-1954 owned by the Vice President of Dravo William Earl Clark who was General Manager of the Engineering Works Division and whose work was mainly at Neville Island. Dravo was in those days a huge engineering company responsible for ship-building and other large-scale engineering projects. They apparently worked closely or were aligned with Levinson Steel of Pittsburgh as there are a number of photos of that company's gatherings too. Over 50 photos the large majority 8x10 and captioned detailing meetings important events parties gatherings including signing of a new agreement with the unions photos of workers of some of the technology and plant interiors etc. Accompanying this is another Dravo folder with multiple copies of letters of introduction for Clark signed by the President of Dravo Carl B. Jansen and other letters from his MD and the local sherif verifying his good standing. Dravo was just coming off its best years as a major contractor for the US Navy in WWII building all kinds of ships for the war effort and was then still flush with money and contracts. unknown
