Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. About 300 pages, weirdly paginated, appears to be a reprint of a section of another book copyrighted in 1925; part of Lost Technology Series. Tables, charts, graphs, b&w illustrations, mechanical drawings and photos. Sections on Production of die castings, casting losses and defects, Aluminum-alloy foundry practice, Production of secondary aluminum, Aluminum alloy melting practice.

La composizione del catalogo che presenta tavole numerate sino al n. 367 intercala fogli bianchi dovuti a tavole non stampate, supponiamo per ragioni legate all'esaurimento dei manufatti o alla loro cessata produzione. Questo ci permette di ritenere il presente catalogo completo di tutte le sue parti. T. tl. editoriale con titoli a secco e vari segni di consuzione. Importante catalogo della produzione di questa celebre fonderia artistica che aveva sede in Val D'Osne (Haute Marne), che seppe per molto tempo coniugare arte e produzione industriale. Tra le tavole del catalogo e' presente quella raffigurante una fontana realizzata su modello di Mathurin Moraeu (le dimensioni della tavola sono cm 48 x 58) e considerata una delle migliori produzioni della fonderia. Oltre alle fontane migliaia erano i prodotti in catalogo. Tra questi cancelli, ringhiere, fregi per ogni genere d'utilizzo, stufe, arredi da giardino e da casa come panchine o divani, lampioni, candelabri ecc. Le tavole sono datate singolarmente, anche questo attesta una loro vocazione a essere assemblate secondo varie succesioni e vanno dal 1849 al 65.

Not dated but has a stamp on rear in Trafton Script cover that states "United States Design Patent / No. 95876 Issued June 4th 1935". Some age toning and soil to covers with small dampstain to bottom corner of front cover at spine. Some light creasing and light wear to corners. Interior clean and unmarked. Binding sound. The Trafton Script typeface was designed by the New York artist and designer Howard Allen Trafton and was released by Bauer in 1933.
