Un libro ricco di fotografie inedite, impreziosito dai contributi della mamma Antonia Salzano, che riprende e amplia la Mostra itinerante sul giovane Beato, promossa dalla Fondazione OasiApp, in questi mesi esposta in numerose parti d'Italia.
br. Carlo Acutis (Londra 1991 - Monza 2006) sin da bambino fa da "maestro di fede" ai suoi genitori. Da ragazzo è discepolo di sant'Antonio di Padova e di san Francesco d'Assisi. Da adolescente mantiene la promessa di essere sempre unito a Dio, inneggiando alle sue creature. Carlo partecipa alla messa tutti i giorni, sosta a lungo in adorazione eucaristica «per imparare a vivere con gli altri». Genio informatico. Amava intensamente i poveri, gli exra-comunitari, i fedeli di altre religioni come fossero i depositari della fede cristiana. Il libro contiene due testi inediti ritrovati tra gli appunti di Carlo. Alle sue esequie la chiesa parrocchiale era gremita all'inverosimile, da persone di ogni colore, razza e fede. Tutti suoi amici. Sembrava una festa di popoli. Quel giorno un clochard teneva alto un cartello: «Muore giovane colui che al cielo è caro». Il libro contiene due testi inediti di Carlo.

La mamma di Carlo, a chi le chiede come riassumerebbe la breve esistenza di suo figlio, morto ad appena 15 anni, risponde: «Direi che tutta la sua vita verteva sull'incontro quotidiano con Dio. Non aveva bisogno di tante cose. Lo definirei controcorrente in un tempo come l'attuale. Carlo ha vissuto in pienezza la sua breve esistenza. Ha avuto il massimo: piena, bella e in armonia con Dio. E ha lasciato una splendida testimonianza. Mio figlio aveva questa consapevolezza che la vita non va sciupata inutilmente dietro a sciocche chimere». Il libro è diviso in tre parti: la prima ripercorre la vita di Carlo; la seconda approfondisce la sua ricca spiritualità incentrata sull'eucaristia; la terza illustra le mostre di cui fu ideatore, visibili oggi su internet.
