1920256949n.p. 1920. 11.25x16 inch broadside horizontal fold minor toning; "Marcus Graham group 1920" penciled in bottom margin couple of old paper tape repairs on blank verso. The date is confirmed by its citation in a Congressional report "Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer On Charges Made Against Department Of Justice By Louis F. Post And Others." "We have on many occasions issued to you calls for action. We have told you that protest meetings will not help to free the thousands of social war prisoners but only by real action through the starting of the general strike throughout the entire country will they be freed. You did not listen to us who urged action. You chose the easier road. You listened instead to politicians who asked you to beg of the exploiters of America to be so kind as to release those whom they imprisoned. We remind you of the mistakes that you have made and how you have been fooled and betrayed." Warns that those who participate in May Day parades sponsored by the National Security League "will be traitors to our class" calling on readers to mark May Day instead by forming anarchist groups to begin a general strike. "When we march or hold our meetings we must never forget to be armed to repel those misguided soldiers or policemen who will dare to attack us as they have done until now! . The First of May should be the signal for the start of the social revolution in this country." The author whose original name was Shmuel Marcus went by many pseudonyms the best-known of which was Marcus Graham; he claimed to be a native of Montreal but when the United States attempted to deport him to Canada Canada refused on the grounds that there was no actual evidence of his Canadian citizenship. Other attempts to deport him to Mexico and the Soviet Union were similarly rebuffed. The author went on to edit the newspaper Man! one of the most important American anarchist publications of the 1930s. unknown

19691319<p>Folded poster-pamphlet with texts and images printed in black ink on cream paper stock opens to large color poster on verso. 4to opens to 17.5 x 22.5 in Near fine ; old central crease. Loose folded sheet. 1319</p><p><i>A delightfully riotous publication with texts attributed to former King Mob member Phil Cohen and associates in the London Streeet Commune. The poster illustration on the pamphlet's verso depicts a youth with a huge erection being sentenced to correction bu authorities at a "Penal Institution." Our expert source informs us that Agro was printed in an attempt to organize London's hippie greaser and skinhead youth cultures to work together against ruling class oppression rather than antagonize one another. "At the end of 1969 the pilot – and only! – issue of Agro tried to mobilize the skinhead opinion. The paper 'printed by the Gutter Press' bore the stamp of the London Street Commune and most of it in fact consisted of an abridged version of 'Project Free London' a small booklet to which I shall refer again. An editorial claimed that Agro would be produced and distributed not from an office but through an informal network of 'skinheads greasers heads; in pubs caffs clubs and on the streets'. The Commune was worried because skinheads and greasers had mobilized against each other instead of against straight society and they saw Agro as a way of combining forces as a 'single subcultural front.'" Extremely rare. We can find no copies in OCLC or online.</i></p><p><i>ref.</i></p><p><i>https://standupandspit.wordpress.com/2019/11/19/agro/ </i></p><p><i> https://www.wussu.com/squatting/144_piccadilly_supercrew.htm</i></p> The Gutter Press

198014498<p>Very Good HC no DJ. Beige cloth over boards white stylized woman’s head with hair spelling 'Kaliflower' on front cover the hair wrapping around spine onto back cover; gray laid paper end papers. Bright generally clean covers and spine have few small spots; firm square corners; tightly bound; crisp clean interior. Brilliant colorful images and print on every page. Starting in April of 1969 Sutter Street Commune in S.F. following Digger philosophy began issuing a free intercommunal newspaper to area communes to ‘pass the dharma’ i.e. share information with other like-minded communards. For the next 3 years Kaliflower was distributed on a weekly basis eventually to nearly 300 communes. This volume is drawn from some of those issues but also has some commentary about the making and growth of Kaliflower. As with everything this group produced nothing is signed or attributed. One of the Sutter Street Commune founders was an experienced printer and the press work was high quality. This is a nicely bound fine quality volume. 19681520<p>Poster printed recto and verso with texts and images in red and black inks on white commercial stock. Ca. 14 x 20 in. Very good. Loose as issued. 1520</p><p><em>An unrecorded and gorgeous work by The Berkeley Commune in affinity with the International Werewolf Conspiracy and Up Against the Wall Motherfucker identified for us by UAWMF founder Ben Morea as a co-publication with New York chapters of the secretive network of radicals. Strike Anywhere calls for immediate unified militant action to take control of the America's urban centers: "if there is going to be any student-worker alliance then it will be formed as clearly seen in france not in the factories but on the streets or not at all. if poor whites & middleclass hippies are going to come together as in chicago berkeley & NY it will be in the streets. if there is going to be a true working alliance with blacks then it will come from the common struggle in the streets. the streets are where we will confront the man & where the struggle will become clear - theoretically as well as tactically. theory in not separate from life/ we need space to create the existence we want to live & in the streets we learn the man isn't going to give up space - because the existence of an alternate life is a threat to his piglife."</em></p>
