Con sei tavole di illustrazioni in bianco e nero fuori testo, delle quali una a doppia pagina e una più volte ripiegata, e alcune figure, sempre in bianco e nero, nel testo, raffiguranti strumenti e macchinari scientifici. Piccolo strappo, che non interessa la parte impressa, ben rimarginato con carta giapponese, nel bordo superiore della tavola ripiegata e nel margine esterno del foglio con le pagine 101-102. Ai fogli con le pagine 631-636, bordo inferiore rifilato, maldestramente, più corto rispetto a quello degli altri fogli, ma testo integro. Piccoli segni d'umido ai tagli e ad alcune pagine. Nell'angolo superiore esterno del contropiatto anteriore, etichetta ovale coeva della ditta "Ulrico Hoepli - Libraio Editore - Milano, Napoli, Pisa". Per il resto, molto ben conservato.
