At the end of the book is The Report of the State Committee of the USSR of investigation of circumstances of concentration-camp Oswiecim Auschwitz.<br /><br /></p><p><strong>Eliazar Eddy de Wind</strong> Den Haag 6 februari 1916 – Amsterdam 27 september 1987 was a Dutch doctor and psychiatrist of Jewish birth. De Wind was a surviver of the Holocaust in the concentration-camp Auschwitz in Poland.</p><p>Eddy de Wind went first to the deportation-camp Westerbork in the Netherlands as a volunteer to help the Jewish people that were transported from here to the concentration-camps in the east.</p><p>In the end he was deported himself to Auschwitz. He was a witness of the liberation of the camp by the Russians. On their request he stayed to take care of the sick victims of the Nazi horror.</p><p>In 1946 he published<strong> <em>Eindstation Auschwitz</em></strong> a detailed report of his time in the camp. It was written in the camp itself.
