This counter display photo catalogue extolled the virtues and advantages of the Champion Berger Rotary Snow Plow developed and produced by Erskine Manufacturing of Minnesota. Founded in 1948 following World War II they were one of the first companies to pioneer and manufacture rotary snow blowers and plows for farm tractors and proved to be an immediate hit. These photos show the rear rotary snow plow fitted to all popular 25 horsepower or more tractors such as Farmall Allis Chalmers Case International Harvester and other tractors. They could be easily installed in minutes rather than hours for front snow plow implements were used with ease with any snow removal job avoided the common problems of more powerful front snow blowers such as bucking and breakage to both tractor & plow and could be easily controlled from the tractor seat. According to contemporary newspaper and trade magazine advertisements as well as the reproduced sales contracts in this group the cost typically ran from $ 300.00 to $ 325.00 for the Champion Berger and the testimonial letters to Valley Implement in upstate New York between Buffalo & Rochester rave about the performance. Carlson 1926-2019 first began as a photographer at 15 years of age and after photographing his first wedding in 1950 ran Carlson’s Studio for 40 years shooting across the surrounding Genesee Wyoming and Orleans Counties of New York. First published in 1767.

The author was the first to establish a proper system of characters which has been since retained.

Otomi is an Oto-Pamean language spoken by approximately 240000 indigenous Otomi people in the central altiplano region of Mexico. Otomi consists of several closely related languages many of which are not mutually intelligible. The word Hñähñu has been proposed as an endonym but since it represents the usage of a single dialect it has not gained wide currency. Linguists have classified the modern dialects into three dialect areas: the Northwestern dialects are spoken in Querétaro Hidalgo and Guanajuato; the Southwestern dialects are spoken in the State of Mexico; and the Eastern dialects are spoken in the highlands of Veracruz Puebla and eastern Hidalgo and villages in Tlaxcala and Mexico states.

Condition: Rubbing to boars offset to end papers blue residue of original wrapper remnant along gutter margin of title page else good to very good.
Tipografia de M. 19516588New York: Dodd Mead & Company 1951. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 5 5/8 X 8 1/8 Inches. 272 PP. First printing copy of this early history of the Oak Island Treasure as well as wrecks in Bermuda and the Cape Cod sinking of the Pirate Ship Whidah. Signed and inscribed by author to early explorer of the Whidah John Francis Light. Light who was a teenager when he started studying the Whidah wreck never located the treasure. It was found by Barry Clifford in 1984. Very early signature from the year of publication. Light's account of the shipwreck and his discoveries are a major part of the book itself. This book is also the FIRST APPEARANCE OF KEMPTON'S cipher translated as "Forty feet below two million pounds lie buried" IN REGARDS TO THE OAK ISLAND TREASURE! A scarce and very important copy with possibly the finest provenance that any copy could have.

Light toning and some tearing to final few pages that uncut and later pulled apart I would assume by Light who wanted the finish reading the book. Original price of $3.00 on front flap. Wear and minor chipping to DJ edges. Spine sunned. Dodd, Mead & Company hardcover

18637035Mexico City: Tipografia de Mariano Villanueva 1863. Second edition. 16mo 9 x 12.5 cm pp 254 2. Apparently Neve y Molina was a native Otomi Pilling from Naxera and the preliminary matter of the volume indicate that he was professor of the language at the Tridentine Seminary in Mexico City and chief translator of Otomi at the Ecclesiastical Court. His grammar was the earliest published of this language. Palau #190160 notes the rarity of the first edition of 1767 also printed in Mexico but this second edition seems to be even scarcer judging from the scarcity of library holdings and appearances at auction. Sabin 52414. Quarter morocco over cloth boards with gilt decoration on spine. Very good copy.

Tipografia de Mariano Villanueva hardcover books
