Faint institutional stamps on outer edges of book block. Institutional book plate on inside front cover. A short name is written in an early hand on the title page near the edition statement; the second page has a shelf number stamped in the bottom margin. Interior contains mild scattered foxing / staining. A 35 mm. tear and a couple of tiny holes are present at the bottom of two leaves pp. 13-16. The tears are carefully sealed but with some soiling discoloration and a few letters obstructed. An influential political tract first printed anonymously in 1787 by the renowned Swiss historian Johannes von Müller 1752-1809.
