Ferri who also published a few naturopathic titles in English including "The Behavior of Health" 1930 and "Soybeans the Wonder Food" 1938. The magazine's focus appears to have been primarily on nutrition and digestive health; Ferri contributes two such articles to the present issue; other contributors include E. Piccoli "Il senso alimentare"; J.H. Tilden a translation of his essay on the treatment of gonorrhoea; others. Not located in OCLC under title editor or publisher. G. Bertelli unknown

First edition stated of this first reference work devoted entirely to the medical care physical therapy and social movements to mediate the plight of the disabled during the last part of the Progressive Era on the eve of World War I. McMurtrie 1888-1944 was a noted graphic designer typeface designer typographer historian and more importantly assembled the largest collection at the beginning of the 20th Century on the care challenges reform movements orthopedics and other aspects of aiding the disabled in an era when they were largely forgotten by society. Unfortunately the movement was largely swept away by the Great Polio Epidemic of 1916 World War I the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1917-1919 the post-World War I recession and the subsequent Red Scare. Two small punctures to the left margin with a pair of faint horizontal creases; otherwise very good.<br /> <br /> An advertisement for Monticello Drug Co.'s No. 666 preparation this leaflet describes the uses of the patent medicine malaria chills and fever colds constipation as well as a preventative its pricing and its miraculous qualities. The drug company was founded by Tharp Spencer Roberts a registered pharmacist and incorporated in 1908. The "devilish" name of No. 666 was actually derived from the prescription pad number on which Roberts had written the new formula while purportedly treating a rural preacher with a severe case of malaria.
