Paul Leyssac was a well-known stage actor who appeared opposite Ethel Barrymore and Marie Tempest and whose recitals of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf were widely popular. Danish-born and French-accented he was also an accomplished translator of Danish fairy-tale author Hans Christian Andersen. He also appeared in 7 films of the late 1930's and early 40's.
