A picture of this book is available upon request by email. The author ran a nursery in Chelsea, Massachusetts and was the owner and editor of the Yankee Farmer. Hedrick p. 489:'A comprehensive treatise. . . It contained a great number of engravings of fruit, trees, insects and methods of grafting, budding and training'. There were several later editions because of its popularity. He describes many varieties of apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherries, grapes, small fruits, etc., with a brief description of wine making.
