Prima edizione singola rara, nessun esemplare censito in ICCU di questa memoria di interesse medico e farmaceutica dedicata ad alcuni esperimenti fatti dal noto medico torinese Vincenzo Cristin. Il libello, dopo un’introduzione sulla provenienza della pianta da dove si è ricavato il nuovo medicinale, passa poi ad indicare il processo e la composizione dello stesso, descrive i risultati ottenuti con l’utilizzo di questo nuovo tipo di china ricavato dalla pianta Hylocereus undatus. Questa è una pianta della famiglia delle Cactaceae. Il suo frutto viene chiamato Pitahaya o Pitaya e può essere rosso (in inglese Red Dragon Fruit) oppure giallo. Le ultime due pagine contengono il giudizio esperto del farmacista Schiapparelli. Raro ed in ottime condizioni di conservazione.

Reprint of the original by Redoute (1759-1840) Golden Ariels No. 4. Intro claims 24 prints, but this edition's contents lists only 18, of which one is loose (Camelias, Narcisses et Pensees) in this copy and one is missing (Camellia panache). Existing plates, however are all full size (9 1/4 x 6 3/4's), printed on one side only, and very bright, suitable for framing.
Designed for both the amateur and commercial grower; illustrated. 125 pages. Full blue cloth boards. 5 1/4"w x 7 1/2"h.
