Belle photographie de Teddy Piaz, photographe parisien, prise sans nul doute entre 1922 et 1931, quand il est en Europe. La dédicace est avant 1945 car elle mentionne encore « mademoiselle » Olga Horstig qui était mariée en 1945 (nous n'avons pas trouvé la date du mariage). Très belle photographie, très bien conservée. With the fine nineteenth century engraved armorial bookplate of Henry Ashworth James on front paste-down, 8pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end and single-leaf prospectus for the enlarged edition of Lloyd's Field Sports tipped in. The illustrations are by Haghe, Landseer and Williams from paintings by Wilkie, Landseer, Simson and Cooke. 'Next to Walton himself, there's no more engagingly discursive and allusive writer in the language. For the feel of fishing, the sense of it, I almost said the taste of it, I know of no other to place him beside' (Gingrich).
