Grande vignetta al frontis incisa in rame e firmata "il Coriolano" schemi e figure geometriche nel testo, ai margini di varie carte molte figure di piante, strumenti, coltelli, innesti ecc.. Edizione originale rarissima e importante di uno dei più significativi libri di agricoltura dell'epoca ricco di notizie agronomiche nonche sulla caccia di quadrupedi e volatili che si cacciano in ciascuno dei dodici mesi dell'anno. L'opera ebbe grande successo e molte ristampe per oltre 150 anni. dato l'uso pratico cui era destinato è rarissimo trovare copie così ben conservate come la nostra. Come in passato, non mancano i riferimenti agli equipaggi, alle loro uniformi, alle dotazioni dei reparti, ai ricordi dei protagonisti. Numerose tavole a colori realizzate da Ruggero Calò completano questo lavoro, al quale hanno contribuito ricercatori italiani e stranieri.
