La collaborazione con questi docenti universitari, ha prodotto numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche sulle Ammoniti del periodo Cretacico che meritano di essere conosciute oltre che dagli esperti del settore, anche da un pubblico più vasto. Con le numerose fotografie degli esemplari più rari e meglio conservati e con la descrizione dei luoghi di ritrovamento il libro è un valido strumento per appassionati, amanti della natura e delle scienze paleontologiche e geologiche.
brossura "Questo libro rappresenta un doveroso ricordo del mio caro amico prof. Federico Venturi morto il 27 giugno 2020. Da diversi mesi avevamo progettato insieme questo libro sul "Livello Venturi" della cava del Pallareto e la sua scomparsa mi ha inizialmente reso titubante riguardo il compito di assolvere da solo, a questo pesante e difficile incarico. Il problema del passaggio tra il Sinemuriano superiore e il Pliensbachiano inferiore della nostra Tetide Mediterranea è stato da sempre un obiettivo da raggiungere o almeno da rendere più chiaro e comprensibile. Abbiamo così esaminato numerose collezioni, e diverse migliaia di ammoniti tutte provenienti dal Livello Venturi. Come già si sapeva, oltre alle ammoniti sono emerse decine di esemplari di echinidi, radioli, crinoidi, brachiopodi, denti di squalo, gasteropodi, lamellibranchi, e nautiloidi. Tutti questi ritrovamenti, ci hanno permesso di elaborare e precisare una possibile transizione faunistica dal Sinemuriano superiore al Pliensbachiano, che nell'area Mediterranea presenta delle caratteristiche e peculiarità differenti dall'area Boreale dove è localizzata la sezione tipo (di Wine Haven, Robin Hoods bay presso Ravenscar, Yorkshire). Infine ho voluto rendere omaggio a Federico presentando foto varie e ricordi scritti dai suoi collaboratori, studenti e colleghi docenti. La sua scomparsa, lascia un incolmabile vuoto per tutti noi." Clean and fine. <br/><br/><em>First appearance of Kater's great paper a report of his results as member of "The Survey of Great Britain" using his invention "Kater's Pendulum"."On the basis of the principle enunciated by Huygens that the centers of suspension and oscillation are interchangeable Kater devised a reversible pendulum which became known as "Kater’s pendulum" with knife edges accurately adjusted to lie at the conjugate points. By using the distance between these points as the "length" in the formula for a simple pendulum he was able to determine with great accuracy the length of a pendulum beating seconds under specified conditions. He thereby obtained accurate values for g the acceleration due to gravity at several stations of the Trigonometrical Survey of Great Britain and estimated the ellipticity of the earth. Kater performed these experiments as a member of a committee appointed by the Royal Society in response to a request by the governmnet for assistance in standardizing weights and measures."DSB. </em> unknown
