Volumes 1-3 1897-98 complete: Volume I Jan.-June 1897 224 pp. continuously paginated with index; Volume II July-Dec. 1897 240 pp. continuously paginated; Volume III Jan.-June 1898 240 pp. continuously paginated with index. Each issue contains 8 or 9 gorgeous full color plates; also retained here are the full color covers of Vol. I Nos. 1 and 2 unknown whether succeeding issues continued with color covers thus approx. 150 plates total all essentially as issued some with small library stamp on verso only. Text block is clean and otherwise unmarked. This title appears to have ceased publication at the conclusion of Vol. IV so this offering comprises 75% of the total run. 1846032769London : The Religious Tract Society 1846 A very good copy in the original decorative cloth binding with hand coloured frontispiece and 23 further hand coloured plates. Anonymous author. The binding has a gilt bird on a branch to the front board and gilt titles to spine. All edges gilted. The binding is bright and clean with light wear to corners. There is the beginning of a split at the front spine joint but the book is sound. Original yellow endpapers present. Contents with frontispiece and guard; title; contents and plate list; text 216pp with 23 guarded plates. Internally in very good clean condition with the occasional light mark or spot.
