The printed area is 53cm x 35cm sheet size is 59cm x 43cm. Printed on fine Japan paper laid on heavy weight woven paper. A few gentle creases to top right hand corner please see image that appear to have been present prior to being laid or as a result of being laid mininimal toning. A superb example of Clifford Webb's work. We have only been able to locate one other example of this work and that was limitation no. 3; it is clearly a scarce linocut and it is not unlikely that the full complement of 20 prints was ever produced. Clifford Webb prolific and renowned illustrator of books and magazines possibly most famous for designing the dust jackets and illustrating the Swallows and Amazon series of books by Arthur Ransome.
