The spine which was once ornately decorated no longer has gilt on the stamping and has a snag to the rear corner of the head; the boards are also scuffed and worn about the edges. Calligraphy owner's name and Christmas 1872 notation second front blank. Though the text block is tight and clean tiny stain top outer corner of blanks and title page a rebinding candidate.
