All in excellent condition, book shows little use and 1/4" tear at bottom of front cover is only blemish. Plastic comb binding.

« Nous nous sommes fait rendre compte de la maniere dont les pescheurs de notre province de Languedoc font la pesche à la mer, dans les Etangs salez et sur les côtes de notre dite Province & nous y avons reconnu les differens abus qui ont détruit en partie la pesche du poisson de mer ». On reconnaît dans cette déclaration des préoccupations modernes sur la surexploitation des ressources halieutiques. La pêche au feu, avec brandons ou foyers est interdite, la pêche du Gangy avec filets et instruments autorisée suelement en mer, la pêche de la Tartanne ne peut se pratiquer qu'au large, de mêmeque celle du Boulier ou Traîne. La Bastude est également prohibée dans les étangs salés.
