The interior pages are in fine condition This RKO Radio Pictures campaign book sent to theater owners to encourage them to show RKO movies. The book includes 54 pages with one and two-page spreads on RKO's upcoming movies and their best stars. Some of the movies and stars promoted include "Glamour" "Miracle City" "Exposed" "Frontier" "The Dove" Dolores Del Rio "The Slander Girl" Rex Beach Irene Dunne Lily Damita Wheeler & Woolsey and much more! Note that many of the pages have signed artwork by many different quite talented artists including Armand Seguso Fredric C. Madan Frank Bensing Patterson Rico and most of these artists have several different pieces in the book. Note that because RKO at this time did not have the biggest name stars they relied on movies with very lurid and sensational material and they created images for this campaign book that are both extremely colorful and often downright sexy! This is really one of the absolute nicest studio campaign books in terms of artwork that was created during the Golde Age of Hollywood. Note that even though this campaign book was sent to many theater owners it appears that very few examples have survived. We have seen film campaign books and related material for many years and I know for certain that this campaign book is extremely rare! Note that studios almost always spent far more money preparing campaign books than they did preparing movie posters often hiring very talented and well-known illustration artists because campaign books directly benefited the studio in getting theaters to book the movies. Also note that as was often the case with these campaign books some of the movies advertised were either never made had their titles changed before they were released or were made with different casts than those announced in the campaign book. Il Baratieri nacque a Condino l'12 nov.1841 e morì a Sterzing nel 1901. Partecipò alla spedizione dei Mille, poi si arruolò nell'Esercito itaòiano, dove divenne colonnello. Con lo pseudonimo di "Fucile" scrisse diversi articoli sul Fanfulla. Convinto sostenitore della politica coloniale in Africa, nel 1876 fu deputato per 7 legislature. Nel 1887 ebbe il comando di vari battaglioni nel Corpo di spedizione in Africa, nel 1891 ebbe il comando di tutte le truppe e poi fu governatore della Colonia Eritrea. Tra il 1894 e il 1896 prese Cassala, Coati, Senafè, ma dopo la rotta di Adua, subì un processo e fu esonerato dall'esercito. Si ritirò ad Arco, dove nel 1898 pubblicò le Memorie d'Africa, s'ammalò gravemente, morì nel 1901 e fu sepolto ad Arco. Questo vol. contiene anche lo stato di servizio del generale, le note biografiche dei vari mittenti e destinatari del carteggio, oltre al vastissimo carteggio.

Si differenzia da altri libri già presenti in letteratura (e sicuramente più completi e organici), per l'approccio semplificato, che consente la comprensione dei fondamenti della teoria dell'elettromagnetismo anche ad allievi non in possesso degli strumenti matematici di calcolo differenziale vettoriale. Dopo brevi richiami sul concetto di campo e sul calcolo vettoriale, viene ripresa in sintesi la teoria dell'elettrostatica e della magnetostatica per giungere alla presentazione delle equazioni di Maxwell in forma integrale e differenziale. Sono quindi descritte le proprietà delle soluzioni più semplici delle equazioni di Maxwell: le onde piane uniformi. La teoria dell'elettromagnetismo è infine applicata allo studio delle linee di trasmissione, sia come veicoli della propagazione guidata sia come elementi circuitali, affrontando l'importante problema dell'adattamento.
