Book is in excellent condition with a bump and crease at lower front corner and Very light scuffing to covers as only flaws. Binding is solid and square, covers otherwise have sharp corners, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Inscribed by photographer to Paul Dorpat, local historian in Seattle. 95 pages with large, wide angle photos, one per page. Stated "First Edition."

Original full cloth bindings, worn with some loss at extremities. Stamped label "Compliments of James J. Walker, Senator 12th District". Penciled ownership of Richard Parsons. ** James J. Walker (1881-1946) was the New York City politician known as Jimmy Walker. He entered politics after graduating from New York Law School, becoming a member of the Assembly (1909) and then of the State Senate (1914). Backed by Gov. Alfred E. Smith and Tammany Hall, he was elected mayor of New York, and served from 1925 to 1932. A popular figure known for his charm and wit but particularly for his enthusiastic participation in the high life typical of the era, he made improvements in sanitation, hospitals, and subways. He resigned in 1932 after being charged with corruption. Hardbound. Excellent twentieth century study of New York State wild flowers, with an interesting association to a colorful politician.
