Bound by 'Stephen Austin. Hertford' is stamped to the bottom of the front paste-down. All edges gilt. A copy with outstanding provenance: with the label of the botanist A. R. Horwood author of British Wild Flowers in Their Natural Haunts and from the library of Sir George Taylor with his signature 'G. Taylor' Sir George Taylor former director of Kew keeper of botany British Museum plant collector and botanist to the front end paper. Also with the armorial bookplated of Frances Hubert Barclay.
